What exactly does Speedhack do?

Been botting a few days now, so far so good. Haven't tried using Speedhack, but what exactly does it do compared to the non-speedhack method?

So it really does not matter if I could fight mobs more effective when bot can speedclear half the map by the time I just run the distance with movement skills.

Does speed hack flag you to blizzard? or increase your chance to get detected?
