It seems like an important thing - what does it and what is best number to set there up?

The best number is around 12. It'll control how precise when exploring a dungeon. The lower it is, the more precise it is. If you set it too low it'll be too precise and spend time going back and forth. If you set it too high it may not be able to explore the whole dungeon.
