I'm just trying to grind a part of Act 1 (I'm up to Act 2) just wanted to set it up for the night to get some levels.

I was running this one: Act 1, Crypt of The Ancients 1-9-2.xml
Doing Act 1 - Master - Private Game
Adventure mode

I just tried an adventure mode profile and it endlessly exits and creates a new game. Never does anything.

A1 Adventure Mode, Fields of Misery.xml:
Ok this one works for about 1 minute, then exits the game and creates a new one. It kills a few groups of mobs then exits...

This one endlessly enters/exits game

ok it's odd, for this profile: A1 Adventure Mode, Fields of Misery.xml, it always runs to the same spot and exits, a little south west of where you warp in at. It's not trying to clear all the mobs. I guess that's just what the map is programmed to do?
